There are a lot of events our Makeover Essentials fashionistas look forward to throughout the year, and the Grammy Awards ceremony is at the top of our list. From the fashion to the performances, and all sorts of exciting antics, we don’t miss a single moment. With that in mind, we’d like to highlight a few of the best features of the 59th show.
The Los Angeles Staples Center was emanating with glamour. The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Demi Lovato, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, and – of course – Beyonce and Adele arrived to perform. Everyone from Makeover Essentials was especially moved by the love and respect these musical icons showed for one another.
As far as nominations go, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that Beyonce was in the lead at nine. There was some close competition though, with Rihanna, Drake, and Kanye West each enjoying eight of their own nominations. Young Blue Ivy took a moment to share her singing voice, and we think it won’t be long before she receives a nomination of her own!
Finally, we think James Corden of “The Late Late Show” and “Carpool Karaoke” fame did a wonderful job as a first-time host of the awards show. He may have fallen down a flight of stairs, but he did so with absolute comedic grace!
